Who we are How we are funded How we are funded As a charity, the Trust relies on a mixture of grants, donations, membership and legacies to carry out its vital work. The grants which the Trust has relied on for it's land management in the past, have now come to an end and so it is time to increase income from donations, subscriptions & charitable trusts. The below diagrams give a brief overview of our Income and Expenditure (where our money comes from and where it goes to) for the past financial years (2020.21); further information and detail can be found in our Annual Statement of Accounts. 2020.21 We are registered with the Fundraising Regulator and are members of the Institute of Fundraising which shows our commitment to support the Code of Fundraising Practice in all of our fundraising activity alongside our Fundraising Promise. We also have a Fundraising Complaints Procedure If you feel you may be able to help us keep doing what we do (and a whole lot more besides), for the benefit of nature and people, then please check out our Philanthropy Page; here you will find more information regarding recent gifts, the difference they've made and also how to contact us if you are thinking of supporting us in this way. The Duchy of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly Wildlife Trust The Isles of Scilly Wildlife Trust leases 2000 hectares of land from the Duchy of Cornwall on a 99 year, fully insuring and repairing tenancy. The Trust does not pay rent on the lease, receives no financial support and is not linked in any way constitutionally to the Duchy of Cornwall. The Duchy views the Trust as a tenant, as it does any other farm/land tenant in Scilly, Cornwall or anywhere else on its extensive UK landholding. The tenancy restricts the Trust's use of the land to nature conservation activities and general public access as long as it does not negatively affect the nature conservation activities and value of the land.
