A small and short faced bumblebee with a body pattern very similar to a Garden Bumblebee (Bombus hortorum) which is also found in Scilly.  A preference towards heathland is seen, although it is not restricted to heathland as it can be found on a number of other habitats.  This is a rare bumblebee in Scilly, probable sightings should be reported to us via email ([email protected])
