Neil was co-opted to the Board of Trustees in February 2019 and at has taken on the role of Chair of the Trust. He splits his time between living on the Mainland and living in Scilly.

Neil has been a regular visitor to Scilly for more then twenty years and owns a property on St Mary’s, spending a significant part of the year on the islands.

Most of Neil’s career was spent in senior positions in the charity sector, including time spent on a number of voluntary sector bodies working closely with different government departments. Latterly, his roles included 10 years as Chief Executive of Make-A-Wish Foundation UK. He also has many years of experience of serving as a charity trustee.

Neil’s interests include hiking, gardening, volunteering and most sports. He has one grown-up daughter and a dog - both of whom share his passion for the islands.
