- A 4pp leaflet with information about shrews on Scilly.
- A personal letter from us to you, thanking you for your adoption.
We will email you every season with updates on your adoption, including the impact of your support on our work. All our Adoption Packs are plastic-free and we have worked with artists and photographers who love the Isles of Scilly to bring you the best quality gift, perfect for a Christmas or birthday present (or to keep for yourself).
By adopting a Scilly shrew, you are helping the Isles of Scilly Wildlife Trust to look after these iconic mammals. The ‘Scilly shrew’ (or lesser white-toothed shrew to give its formal English name) is found nowhere else in the UK. We look after around half of the islands, managing over 700ha of land to help wildlife thrive. Scilly shrews directly benefit from our work, as we provide suitable habitats for them to nest, feed and breed.
Our conservation work also helps a myriad of species, including rare flowers and lichens. We look after around half of the Isles of Scilly, making sure that our islands stay special. We help wildlife thrive and provide opportunities for us all to enjoy nature.
